''Love Earth, Love Peace''
The 1st Buddhist-Muslim Youth Dialogue
Global Family for Love and Peace (GFLP), a non-governmental organization affiliated with UN DPI and in consultative status with ECOSOC, together with the Museum of World Religions and the NGO Committee on Sustainable Development-NY, will co-host the 1st Buddhist-Muslim Youth Dialogue: “Love Earth, Love Peace”.
As the 1st Buddhist-Muslim Dialogue to embrace our youth, who can to reach out to the next generations with a renewed spirit of understanding and cooperation, the Dialogue is focused on three topics:
1. How do you see the world today, and how do you hope to shape it for the future?
2. Does your religion have a role in that vision? If so, how?
3. What can we all do together to make this Earth a better place?
Global Family for Love and Peace has established a platform for religious dialogue since its establishment in 2002. In the past 14 years, GFLP has hosted 14 Buddhist-Muslim Dialogues in 11 different countries, across four continents.
Dharma Master Hsin Tao, the Founder of Global Family for Love and Peace, says “when we first engage in any interreligious dialogue, we see our own religion as the best; however, through interreligious dialogue we find that every religion has the same ultimate goal － reaching out for spiritual truth, and dedicating ourselves to love and service.'' Taking the advancement of peaceful coexistence in diversity and care for the earth as his mission, Master Hsin Tao hopes that the Buddhist-Muslim Dialogue Series will help us to transform the world into a "global family for love and peace."
The 1st Buddhist-Muslim Youth Dialogue is co-organized by the Chinese American Parent-Student Council of NYC, to offer the valuable experience to distinguished young Buddhists and Muslims.
