Laurence is a member of the Board of Directors of Unity Earth, serves on the Executive Committee of the NGO Committee on Sustainable Development, is a member of the NGO Committee for the United Nations International Day of Peace, served on the Leadership Team for the United Religions Initiative’s Multi-Region, and was a Co-Organizer of The Sound of Peace – A Sunset Celebration for the United Nations International Day of Peace.

Laurence produces the Annual Poetry Slam 4 Peace, now in its 8th year, assisted in the initiation of the annual Central Park Vigil for Peace and Ecology, helped establish of the NGO Committee on Spirituality, Values and Global Concerns and presently serves on its Executive Committee, and produced the Youth United Against Malaria Concert in the United Nations General Assembly Hall for the Global Youth Summit.

Laurence studied Modern European Intellectual and Cultural History at the University of Wisconsin, and graduated from Georgetown Law School. He has extensive experience as an arts, entertainment, and intellectual lawyer and as a producer.
