Interfaith Harmony Week

  • To celebrate the United Nations World Interreligious Harmony Week, the Zongbo Foundation visited the Museum of World Religions on 2/13 to watch the movie Dr. Strange. This movie reflects concepts from various different religions, and participants were able to discuss these different concepts with one another.

  • The World Religions Museum Development Foundation, the Taiwan Center for Public Theology, and the Anatolian Cultural Center held an art exhibition using paintings made by refugee children to raise awareness of refugee issues in the Taiwanese community.

  • For their third year participating in the UN Harmony Week, MWR and GFLP invited special guest speakers from various faith traditions in Taiwan to introduce their own faith and share each traditions’ insights and actions regarding protecting nature to promote “loving earth, loving peace” on a practical level.

  • To celebrate this year’s Interfaith Harmony Week, the Museum of World Religions partnered with Fujen Catholic University, GFLP, and Taiwan + to host an interfaith concert entitled, “Talk about Love with Music.”

World Interfaith Harmony Week was proposed by King Abdullah II and Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad of Jordan at the United Nations General Assembly. On October 20, 2010, the entire United Nations adopted this agreement, and the first week of February every year is designated "World Interfaith Harmony Week". Since 2011, GFLP has organized activities with the Museum of World Religions to actively participate in the United Nations World Interfaith Harmony Week.
